The fifth edition of the Business Factory Auto (BFA) is currently underway, but the first four editions allow to make a very positive balance, since talent and innovation have been generated in our Community, especially in the 4.0 area: sensorial, cobotic, 3D printing, robotics, etc. In addition, gaps have been covered in the Sector's value chain, mainly related to digitization or Industry 4.0: artificial vision or the Internet of Things, among others. Without forgetting the creation of 53 new companies, to date, which have generated 450 jobs in Galicia. It is about qualified employment, mainly in the field of technology and Industry 4.0.

In terms of turnover, the BFA initiative companies already have 82 million euros. Furthermore, this good operation of the accelerator is reflected in the international character of the participating companies, since, despite their incipient nature, the 7% of these companies already export its products or services.

The Business Factory Auto is a great example of collaboration between small businesses and large companies. The large companies in the Sector are supporting the launch of small and new ones that are born within this accelerator, tutoring them, and allowing to develop pilots to test new technologies in its own factories. In fact, 100% of the projects are tutored by companies in the Sector. Another example of this involvement is that 75% of the projects are conducting pilots in automotive companies.

In this fifth edition, which started in December, the 20 new projects are tutored by professionals from some companies such as Akwel Vigo Spain, Benteler Automotive Vigo, Borgwarner Emissions Systems Spain, Centro de Vigo de Stellantis, CTAG, Denso Sistemas Térmicos España, Galicia Auto Estampación, Gestamp, Goycar Galicia, Maviva, Snop Estampación, TI Fluid Systems or ZF, etc.

As a novelty, the BFA closed a collaboration agreement with the Instituto de Empresa to teach the participating projects an Advanced Program in Management with different training sessions on innovation, marketing and business management, communication, talent management or new trends in management systems and control, among others.
